Purpose of the function Design of process controls for PLC and HMI, programming as necessary within a project, commissioning of various installations.

Description:
- Design of process controls for PLC and HMI based on a P&ID and the required project goals
- Provide assistance to project leaders during discussions regarding process controls
- Draw up the required flow charts and descriptions for own programming or programming by third party
- Determination of the PLC and HMI to be used, in consultation with the Project Manager
- Draw up the required documents with regard to the configuration of networks
- Draw up documents with regard to establishing a network communication with other installations and/or equipment
- Formulate remarks/additions with regard to the P&ID
- Draw up user manual
- Programming of PLC
- Programming of HMIs
- Programming of communication with third parties
- FAT with third parties (within project scope)
- Draw up required simulations
- Attend possible FAT tests on the software that was developed (or contracted) by J-Tec
- I/O testing of installations
- Commissioning of installations
- Gathering of process data and results during commissioning for the purpose of archiving in the “knowledge center”
- Propagation of knowledge with regard to technological solutions, new materials and experience with new processes

Tasks:
- Filling out time sheets
- Store programs according to the procedures
Position within the organization:
- Mostly member of a project team
- Reports to the Manager Electrical Design
- Replacement in case of absence: other Automation Engineer
Qualification requirements:
- Education: Bachelor/Master in a technical discipline
- SCC, working at heights, fork lift
- S7 and/or WinCC
- Experience: determined by years of activity in the sector
- Specific characteristics: team spirit, driven, communicative, accurate, able to deal with stress, analytical, customer oriented
- Language skills (spoken and written): minimally English
- Willing to travel/stay abroad
