Quality Engineer at Tacit Knowledge in Chisinau, Moldova

We are seeking a Quality Engineer with a solid background in test engineering, knowledge of enterprise systems, and a strong drive to learn new technologies and innovate on testing methods. The successful candidate will leverage creativity and talent in delivering successful projects while developing a top-notch QA career.

As a Quality Engineer for Tacit Knowledge, you will be responsible for delivering software solutions in the following areas:

Responsibilities
Lead quality and testing efforts on an Agile team
Create and maintain scalable test plans for enterprise systems
Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defect severities, open defect counts, and impact to projects

Define release-candidate certification
Assess level of effort for QA tasks
Assess risk of changes to code base and system configurations; present informed recommendations to product owners
Contribute to continuous improvement of quality engineering at Tacit Knowledge
Work under general supervision
Skills/Experience
5+ years of QA experience in an Agile environment
Knowledge of an array of testing methodologies, including the following:
Functional
Regression
System
Stress (boundary)
End-to-End
Fail-Over
Knowledgeable about ecommerce technologies
Knowledgeable about quality assurance in an industry-wide context
Effective in communicating in with clients and executives across a range of industries

Proficient in SQL and basic Linux operations
Proficient in a scripting language such as Ruby, Python, or Perl is a plus
Skilled in automated testing with current tools such as Selenium, Fitnesse, or Watir is a plus
Skilled in performance testing and analysis with open-source tools such as JMeter and The Grinder is a plus
