Senior Test Engineer

Project Description:
You will have the opportunity to work together with some of the world’s largest companies in banking, finance, insurance, digital media and other professional services sectors. You will be involved in a project where Scrum methodology is more than just a “trend”. The project manages aspects of how the financial products behave in different scenarios and it is being built based on dynamic algorithms and complex business rules.

What will your role be?
Your main responsibilities will be to develop software systems; you will participate in logical and physical design of the product and understand the business requirements
You will solve complex technical problems that may encounter, be an integral part of a Scrum team, review and enforce the quality of code written within your team
Ability to analyse existing code base and design pragmatic amendments
Contribute to Agile processes

You will have the opportunity to:
Design and develop test strategy
Create functional and non-functional test plans/test scenarios
Gain experience in using various test management tools, test automation tools
Document testing procedures and organize test activities
You will have responsibility for analysis of test data and reporting on these data to senior management and project stakeholders.

You will also be involved in implementing functional automated testing including creation of automation test strategy, identification of which tests can be automated and developing automation.
You will work very closely with the software development team and will be expected to contribute to the continued improvement of testing processes in Endava, by joining Endava testing sub disciplines and become expert in areas like test management, test analysis and design, functional automation, security testing, performance testing, DB testing, GUI testing.

Required skills:
Appropriate knowledge in a variety of testing methodologies and techniques.
Good knowledge of SQL.
Programming skills is a plus.
Knowledge in project measurements (testing metrics).
Knowledge in test automation will be considered a plus.
Knowledge in requirements analysis and testing.
Knowledge in testing-related tools (version control, defect tracking, test management, test automation, condition simulation, monitoring).
Ready for challenges, performance and innovation.
Previous experience working in software testing.
