Senior Java Developer

Project Description:
You will have the opportunity to work together with some of the world’s largest companies in banking, finance, insurance, digital media and other professional services sectors. You will be involved in a project where Scrum methodology is more than just a “trend”. The project manages aspects of how the financial products behave in different scenarios and it is being built based on dynamic algorithms and complex business rules.

What will your role be?
Your main responsibilities will be to develop software systems; you will participate in logical and physical design of the product and understand the business requirements
You will solve complex technical problems that may encounter, be an integral part of a Scrum team, review and enforce the quality of code written within your team
Ability to analyse existing code base and design pragmatic amendments
Contribute to Agile processes

Mandatory Experience:
3-5 years of hands-on experience in Java, Web development and SQL;
Experience with some of the following technologies: JSP, Servlet, Spring Core, Web Services, JavaScript, CSS;
Experience with Java Web frameworks (Struts, JSF, Spring MVC, Spring WebFlow)
Good understanding of client-server and service-based architectures
Advanced spoken and written English;
Motivated and dependable, has initiative, team player, good communicator and problem solver.

Desired Experience:
Java Enterprise Edition (EJB, JMS, etc.)
Web Services (SOAP, REST, an implementation)
Design patterns
Continuous Integration (Cruise Control, Hudson)
Familiar with commercial applications, within the financial domain
Continuous integration, Agile Development Principles and Scrum Methodology
